Capacity building and bridging between the organic and biodynamic sectors in Spain and Germany – CaBBio
Merckens Development Support is continuing its successful collaboration with Agro Cultura Con Respeto following the positive outcomes of their previous Erasmus+ project (2021–2023), Training and Exchange on Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture (2021-1-DE02-KA210-VET-000032874). New Erasmus+ funding has been secured for the period 2023–2025.
The new project builds on the previous content and online learning platform. It adds new topics and aims to reach a wider range of target groups.
OBJECTIVES:
The goal is to develop and deliver modular training units for professionals in the agricultural value chain. The focus areas are sustainable agriculture and social responsibility.
Courses are being offered through in-person seminars, online formats, and blended learning—an innovative approach, especially in rural areas.
Project activities
Activity I: Development of Training Units
This activity focuses on creating modular training units in two key areas:
a) Environmental sustainability in agriculture (climate and environmental protection, sustainable water management, biodiversity enhancement)
b) Social skills in agriculture (social responsibility, awareness across the agricultural value chain, the needs and demands of young people)
Activity II: Implementation of Pilot Courses
This activity involves the implementation of pilot courses based on the training units developed in Activity I. Seven pilot courses and one round table workshop were implemented in various formats—in-person, self-paced online, and webinar.
Activity III: Project Management
Project management encompasses all actions aimed at ensuring smooth administrative operation of the project. This includes communication, coordination, dissemination, data and document handling, operational and financial management, and conflict resolution.
