Trainings and exchange of experiences on organic and biodynamic farming
Merckens Development Support GmbH acts as coordinator of transnational projects under the European Union’s ERASMUS+ program.
This includes the ERASMUS+ project in collaboration with the Spanish association Agro-Cultura Con Respeto. The project started in November 2021 and ran until April 2023.
The aim of the project is to provide training and facilitate the exchange of experiences in organic and biodynamic farming for advisors and other actors in the agricultural value chain. The focus is on sustainable agricultural production, environmental protection, and fair economics along the value chain in the agri-food sector (following the “farm to fork” approach).
Three main activities were carried out as part of the project:
- Development of training modules to qualify agricultural technicians as advisors. A digital platform for learning and exchange was also created.
- Implementation of pilot training courses for advisors in Germany and Spain to test the developed modules.
- Organization of events in each partner country for the exchange of experiences among stakeholders in the agri-food sector.
